citizenM hotel Amsterdam City has been named the "trendiest" hotel in the world in 2010. Chosen from reviews and ratings from some 15 million TripAdvisor users, the second property of the young and innovative Dutch hotel group citizenM was selected to take the first prize in this new category.

On June 4th, around 250 industry members gathered at the Hudson Theatre at the Millennium Broadway Hotel in New York City to honor the finalists and winners of Hospitality Design (HD) magazine's fifth annual HD Awards. Finalists and winners from the 398 submissions in categories ranging from luxury hotel to resort to spa were announced prior to the event.

Once again Wallpaper magazine joins forces with Fortune magazine to select the 50 most stylish new, or newly revamped business hotels around the globe.

"Our list has a strong emphasis on the US, Europe and China, while our ten selected judges, who will help us narrow down to ten deserving winners, come from every sector of the business world and are of course incredibly well travelled."

The 70 hotels that made the final cut span the spectrum from remote lodges in the African bush to urban oases in Beverly Hills, a spa resort in Abu Dhabi and a sensationally sexy newcomer in Miami.
