With a lazy reggae beat beckoning you from a hard days shopping it’s the perfect front of house for any bar or restaurant, in my opinion.
This Caribbean inspired menu is a personal favourite, from the Corn and plantain fritters with pickled cucumber and watermelon salad to the Pork ribs braised in rum and spices until tender finished on their massive chargrill. The food is definitely one to send a letter in a bottle home about.
The boat house/ rum shack décor sets an awesome mood for a night out with friends or share a blanket on the porch with a significant other and watch the world go by. The staff really know their stuff! Their product knowledge is spot on, really friendly and also the Bob Marley tribute band are actually really good! All in all a great place to start before heading on a Caribbean inspired night out.
I highly recommend the Rum Runner cocktail! With boot legging popular in the prohibition years, “rum running” from Barbados to Florida was popular with Caribbean Rums exploding over the South East Coast. This tropical blend of Dark Rum, Banana & Blackberry Liqueur this blast from the past will send you sailing off into the sunset with a wee red glow to your coopin’.
