Classic London collectibles

Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned Cockney, here is our best-of guide to some classics worth adding to your collection of restaurants visited, beers drunk, and records spun. Best of all, it’s a great day out!

If you’re craving some craft beers to add to your collection – there’s a great app to help with that – we recommend a sturdy breakfast before heading over to the Bermondsy beer mile on Saturday morning for a tour (and tastings) at the 5 micro breweries.

Soak up the alcohol and feel all healthy again after visiting one of 6(!) Ottolenghi cafes (the one in Spitalfields is closest to citizenM Tower of London hotel), then head on over to & Other Stories on Regent Street for a spot of retail therapy. Want to take home another London classic? Liberty London is just around the corner and stocks an amazing array of their signature fabrics.

Before heading back to the hotel (or a well-deserved pit stop at Canas y Tapas), browse the endless record collections at Rough Trade East and see if you can spot a classic Beatles or Stones vinyl to add to yours.

London’s one and only ‘Ottolenghi’ - London

‘Ottolenghi’ is more of a cafe or a deli than a restaurant, here you can get dishes you’ve never tasted before, prepared with a completely fresh approach. The recipes are inspired by different cuisines from around the world, yet each is completely original and includes new ingredients mixed in unexpected ways. Ottolenghi is UNUSUAL in the best kind of way!
