“A weird hotel experience”

So walking into the Citizen M is a futuristic experience. You check in using a kiosk, there are friendly staff members to help if needed but it's pretty much a do it yourself type thing.

After getting checked in, I took the elevator up to my floor.

The hall is oddly modern. The look is a cross between the inside of a Las Vegas Casino and the inside of a space station.

The room is interesting in a good way, although the rooms are weird too.

The room is fairly small, and rectangular in shape. Their are two cylinders in the center of the room, one on the left wall and the other on the right. One contains the toilet and the other the shower. It's odd but works well especially if you're solo. If you're sharing a room it might be a bit awkward.

The lighting, shades, temperature are all controlled by an iPad provided.

It was an interesting room. The bed was quite comfortable. The location is an easy walk to the airport terminal, which is a huge bonus not having to wait for a shuttle.

“What is a hotel? CitizenM just redefined it..”

CitizenM is unlike any other hotel experience I have ever had. My girlfriend and I had our first hotel night at CitizenM Schiphol Airport rouhgly a year ago when we just had met. Neither of us had heard about CitizenM before, but it turned out to be such a watershed experience that it most definitely helped us in catapulting our relationship into that wonderful orbit we have been on since.

It wasn't necessarily the super big and comfy bed, personlized ambient room lighting or the delicious food they serve that really made it happen for us (even though it was a huge bonus of course).

No, it was the truly genuine, friendly and awesome vibes from every single one of the employees we had the privilege to interact with during our stay that really made us baffled.

Their aura was simply so contagious and warm that it effortlessly brought out the best in both of us, and by that, multiplying every experience we had. In fact, it made us to never want to leave..f

So for our one year anniversary a few weeks ago, we couldn't think of a better way to go back to where it all started and celebrate our love together with the great people of CitizenM Schiphol Airport.

Even if the staff had changed, it was like visiting old friends again, and their welcome surprise in our room truly enhanced the feeling of that CitizenM isn't actually a hotel..It is more of a movement and a family that truly makes you feel special, appreciated and loved.

Try it and you will understand!

“Homely & Delightful Service”

What a home away from Home! I loved my 2 nights stay. It is at the airport and 6 minutes walk away from arrivals/departure terminals. The room was sparkling clean although small but the lounge and bar area compensated with large and cosy seating areas.

The staff were always ready to serve with a warm smile. The room doesn't have a vanity pack and body lotion so note to carry your own.

“Modern hotel with comfortable rooms.”

Great location to the airport and super quiet rooms to allow a good night's sleep. The check in and check out are done with self-serve terminals. You get to select a lower or higher floor, and a courtyard or runway view.

We got room 354, with a view of the runway.

The room was modern, simple and efficient. The bed was super large and very comfortable. Lots of free movies to choose from.

The food selection in the main lobby was a bit limited, but the airport is only a 5 minute walk away. We went to the grocery store in the airport to pickup food to bring back.

The only thing that was missing was a gym. Lots of modern and comfortable sitting areas on the main floor.

“The right hotel to get some proper rest in between flings from Europe to the USA”

I stayed there for one night to connect to another flight very early in the morning. The location was very convenient as it is within walking distance from Schiphol Airport. The room, service and dinner were excellent.

I highly recommend it to everyone!

“Convenient and efficient hotel!”

If you are traveling from Schiphol Airport, this is the best inexpensive hotel to stay! It is a walking distance from the airport. Check in was on the computer. Even the temperature control was on iPad in the room.

The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet and super clean! Modern furniture with nice purple lighting in the bathroom. They provide one complementary drink per guest at the bar. We had dinner there. Soup buffet. It tasted like home made style. Their tiramisu was the best tiramisu I've ever had! If we have an opportunity to visit the airport, we will definitely stay there again. The price is amazing!!!

“wow!”

The first reaction was wow. Me and my boyfriend stayed one night at the hotel and was surprised of the design and interior. Cool details that made the stay so much more pleasant. It was easy to check in and check out.

Took 5 minutes from the airport to walk to the hotel. We'll be back!

“Tiny perfect comfort”

Everything you could possibly need amid cleverly designed amenities make this hotel experience one to repeat. The King bed is comfortable and dressed in quality linen, the towels are fluffy and the water pressure in the shower was excellent.

I would definitely stay with CitizenM again at any of their locations.
