“Really cool hotel”

This hotel was super cool and quirky. Loved the 24hr service, bar and food (especially good as we got in quite late and were very hungry!). Our room was awesome with some fun features like tablet controlled lighting and a nice view out into the city.

As we arrived late, we did have some trouble getting into the hotel initially as we had no key card, and had to tail-end another guest in and ride the lift up before we got sorted out, and it was a pretty cold night to be stuck outside for a bit! But overall no harm done.

“A great new experience”

After we arrived from the Airport at CitizenM I was greatly surprised of how easy and efficient the check in process is. I scanned my QR code and was prompted through the process at the screen and after two minutes we had our room key and room number.

Entering the room I noticed how thick the door is and once inside how quiet the room is. First of all the bed is HUGE and very comfortable. We greatly appreciated the bed space especially for a european hotel. The room is small, but very efficiently designed. The location is very central, and close to almost every attraction. There are lots of drinking and eating options in walking distance of the hotel. Service is very friendly and efficient when needed. Loved every minute of the experience and will certainly stay at a CitizenM property again.

“You really can't go wrong with a Citizen M!”

We spent New Years eve in Copenhagen and picked Citizen M based on proximity to the center and familiarity with Citizen M's. Best decision ever. If you've never been to Copenhagen, I strongly recommend this hotel.

If you've never stayed at a Citizen M, research the site to know room size.

This particular property is perfectly situated at the main square Radhuspladsen and is luggage dragging distance from the train station. The last time I was there the metro was still under construction and the red line now runs from the Central station to Radhuspadsen if you need a shorter route. There are a multitude of convenience options in the vicinity, Starbucks, 7/11 for those new travelers and just walk further into the city for Michelin worthy restaurants and cafes for the real travelers. I cannot reiterate how perfectly central this hotel is from just about everything Copenhagen. You can visit all the popular sites in Copenhagen and with the introduction of the metro, the city is even more accessible from this location. We also went for lunch in Malmo Sweden (because it's there!) and that was a half hour train ride.

The redesign of the bathroom from the old Citizen M (Schipol par example) gives you more privacy but the rooms are the same King size awesomeness. I actually found this property to be larger than the others I've experienced. However, some rooms can be larger to accommodate families but I gather those are hard to come by due to popularity and we got lucky. Big bed, big pillows, big screen and sound proof rooms so it doesn't matter where you are.

The reception is actually on the 7th floor and it opens to a massive sitting, restaurant lounge area with a well stocked bar with very reasonable prices. The best part of the stay was the breakfast...just book it. Hot fresh everything available and the best dessert for breakfast, cinnamon twist rolls that are a danish specialty.

The staff, all amazing and extremely accommodating with all sorts of requests. There never was a no, not possible, but a "let me try and find a solution" response to all questions we posed. They truly bent over backward to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

The hotel was fully booked for New Years and chiefly because of it's ideal location overlooking the main square to see the fireworks mayhem that the Danes embrace with open arms. The 7th floor balcony wraps around the property facing the square so you get the full experience of the chaos and when we retreated back to our rooms a couple of hours later, the room was well insulated from the cold and noise outside.

If you have to stay anywhere in Copenhagen, this is it. Reminder, this hotel is not for you if you are on a work trip sharing with a colleague...unless that's the plan and if it is, be hygge!

CitizenM hotels are always a good choice. Not because the rooms are huge and the hotel has five stars. No simply because the design and comfort is so good that staying there is always a joy. Hotel is centrally located.

Walking distance from the train station and close to all shopping areas.

“Great location”

The hotel is located in a prime location but the rooms are not noisy due to the super insulation ...ask for a room with a view if available...mine had a great view on the cathedral square and I could see the fireworks at Tivoli garden right from my bed

The hotel is a few steps from 2 cinemas (aka movie theater) , a 7-eleven, the main shopping street, 2 supermarkets, a million restaurants

The bed was super comfy, wifi super fast , staff generally polite and friendly, breakfast decent with no many items but definitely high quality once e.g.

smoked salmon, super crispy bread, prosciutto crudo. Good slection of movies as well ..even if the ipad had to be rebooted from time to time to work

The only things that left me a little perplex were the room not super clean (the non-visible parts like the space between the mattress and the board ) and the staff in the morning were too busy at breakfast time to gossip vs using their "free time" in helping-checking in with the customers

Room ok size for 1 or 2 ..definitely no more than that ...price not so bad for Copenhagen

So 4.5 starts

“Amazing hotel”

Staff were awesome. Left a bag with them for 8 days while we went to Iceland, no issue, delivered to our room 10 mins after checking in. Check-in was a breeze with the checkin kiosk as was checkout. Rooms are so funky and well designed.

Loved the iPad and mood lighting. The electric curtains for day and night was amazing. Night curtains made the room completely black. Double glazed so couldn't hear any noise outside. Best thing is the staff. All so happy, smiles and willing to help in anyway at they can, you can tell they love their job. Location is fantastic. So easy to get around.
Would stay there again? Absolutely wouldn't go anywhere else while in Copenhagen.
Thanks for an amazing 3 night stay guys!

“Fantastic hotel in fantastic location”

This hotel is outstanding from the moment you walk in until the moment you leave! The staff are very friendly and can’t do enough to help. The location is perfect for exploring the city...it is a few minutes walk from Central station which has a direct link to the airport (and Malmö) and it’s across the road from the main shopping district.

I was able to walk to all the major attractions, including the Little Mermaid, from here. The room is compact but designed so well that you don’t notice. The bed is comfortable and the shower is one of the best I’ve ever had! I normally book my hotels on booking.com however in this case it’s better to book direct because they offer a massive discount on their website. My only observations with this hotel is that it’s probably not family friendly unless you are happy to bed share and the food wasn’t amazing but there are loads of eating places close by.
