“Cool in every sense”

Arrived after a long hot journey on a very hot day. Was immediately happier with the cool lobby and the help we got with the self check in. Friendly staff. The room was not a bad size, certainly bigger than the last two London hotels I have stayed in.

The bed is truly enormous. The entertainment and room controls are all on an iPad, but there are anlalogue backups for the less technical. The airconditioning worked very well in the room and all public areas, although a fan in the lift would have been welcome. Didn't feel like going out to eat as it was late so had a meal in the hotel. It was pretty basic with limited choice but was really very good. The bar prices were similar to London pub prices. Breakfast at £14 each looked a bit pricey but Pret and Starbucks are within a five minute walk (as well as half a dozen other cafes and delis). Would definitely stay here again, not least for the great location.

“Great location, great team”

Happened upon this hotel by chance when looking for somewhere central in London.
Staff are all really happy to help, great atmosphere, they all seem to enjoy working here.
Cocktail bar was buzzing early evening.
Rooms are small but huge bed, great shower, infotainment brilliant.
Ideal for Tate Modern and South Bank.
Will definately look to book again soon.
Highly recommended.

“Funky and convenient”

CitizenM bankside has a great location just back from the Tate Modern. It is close enough to pretty much anywhere you want to go in central London but is amazingly quiet overnight. To like the rooms you have to buy into the funky ethos and we did.

Rooms are small....very small with a huge comfy bed filling one end and a frosted glass bathroom unit and storage area at the other. Everything in the room can be controlled from the ipad provided or using old fashioned switches! Toiletries are provided as is a non-alcoholic mini bar (which is refreshed daily),a room safe and movies on your TV. Our room was clean and well maintained. My only gripe is no tea and coffee in room or included in the room rate. There is a bar/eatery on the ground floor which seemed popular but we didnt use this. Staff were helpful and the touch screen checkin/out system was very quick. There is also a baggage store which is very useful.

“Smart And Affordable - Design and Comfort”

In new lively Bankside, fit for the future. Excellent design, especially in common parts. Rooms with the right space, not even an inch more. But there is everything is, and nothing misses. Terrific the iPad control of the whole room.

Excellent breakfast. iMacs in the hall. Fast and comfortable the self check in and out (but with assistance at disposal).

“London Attacks CitizenM Bankside”

Thank you to the kind staff at CitizenM for taking us in on the night after the attacks in Borough Market. Words cannot explain how much your generousity meant at such an emotional time. Every single member of staff went out of their way to help us get organised again, as we had to leave our flat quickly and had no personal belongings on us.

Blanca - thank you for giving me coffee and constant pep talks. As promised, we will pop in to say thank you with chocolates! You are all a true representation of what it means to be a Londoner! Thank you! See you soon x

“CitizenM Bankside”

There are hotels and then there is CitizenM! The things you will love - the amazing staff, the decor, that bed, the IPad controls in your room, the mini bar, the common areas and the location. Caution - do not forget the 'do not disturb sign' if you are not a morning person.

The rooms are not large, but I doubt that you intended to live there. Awesome, awesome hotel for the price range!

I might be a bit biased since I discovered after I got home that I left some jewelry in my hotel room. I called the hotel the next day and they mailed it to me at an international address. Yes I LOVE CitizenM!

“Cool hotel good location missing coffee”

Really great looking hotel like staying in a gallery. Bed access one side only may put off those who don't want to clamber over others during the night to get in & out of bed. Narrow rooms great for one night but wouldn't stay a week.

Super clean tidy and smart. Could do with coffee making stuff in room and please ditch the single use cups at breakfast. ;)

“Funky fun hotel, very efficient/compact sized rooms”

I recommend the hotel, but you have to know what to expect. It's not a luxury hotel or large rooms but it's clean and modern and fun for someone visiting London. The rooms are very compact but lots of tech features...

everything in the room is controlled by an iPad from the lights, tv, blinds, alarm, mood lighting, to the music. Has everything you need to feel comfortable and in a seemingly safe area. Very cool, funky lobby and common space. The staff was extremely helpful and gave great recommendations for must-see spots. The guides and maps were also helpful. Minibar in room is all complimentary. I would definitely stay again, not a place that everyone would appreciate or enjoy but a great experience for us. Not your typical stuffy, boring London hotel.
