“Fantastic atmosphere and great location”

We wanted to visit an 'other' part of London and CitizenM Bankside was just what we were looking for: very near to Tate Modern and a lot of interesting places.
from the first moment we felt welcome.

The young 'ambasadors' are very helpfull and in a hotel with that number of rooms they give you the feeling they 'know' you.
The breakfast every morning is the same quality: something for everyone and good coffee!
The rooms are typical 'Citizen ' compact en technological. Fantastic when everything works... Its the typical room for people, like us, that wants to visit a lot!
We liked it and next time we are in London we plan to reserve here!!

“Fantastic and central Hotel!”

This was my first visit to a citizen M Hotel and won't be my last!
I was impressed by the swift check in and our room was clean and spacious for a pod room.
It had everything you required!
The Hotel is in a very central location close to shops and amenities and also a tube station close by.....we did not have breakfast included however everything so close by it is easy.
The reception bar area is lovely too.

Def recommend.

“Great Hotel & Location”

Lovely room. Big bed and clean. Mini bar fridge with everything included. You didn't pay. 4 cans of drink, two bottles of water and snacks.

Room controlled via a tablet. Lights, curtains, blinds, temp among things controlled on the tablet.

Very easy to use.

Location close to the Tate. Very easy to walk to the West End.

“Perfect stay!”

From the ease of check in, the super helpful staff and the great little room that had everything we needed (even free stocked fridge), the nice bar that's open 24/7, we felt the Citizen M is a step up from most hotels in it's class, ensuring your stay is what you hoped for.

The remote control blinds, the mood lighting and modular bathroom were just a few of the things we thought were pretty cool about our room in this hotel.

“Designed to be unforgettably friendly...”

I spent four days sightseeing with my 10 year old son in London. CitizenM made our stay unforgettably friendly and easy. The location is great, the room was very comfortable, very clean and very beautifuly and conveniently designed.

The hotel is not just children friendly, it is designed to be friendly to everyone and in every way (self check in, free minibar, great breakfast... everything very well-thought-out). The highlight of the hotel is the staff… when we checked in, they asked us why we came to London and I answered “it’s my son’s birthday and the trip is his present”… The same night we returned to the hotel to find our room full of “Happy Birthday” balloons and a card inviting us to the bar for a fruit cocktail and birthday cake… I strongly recommend citizenM London Bankside and will be back there soon...

“Perfect Southbank location”

A modern hotel in a fantstic location for a visit to the Tate, the Globe Theatre and minutes away from St Pauls across the Millenium Bridge. The hotel is tucked away in a little side street and took a while to find.

Checking is was great - we arrived early, planning to leave our luggage and explore but even at 11am were able to choose our room from a selection using one of several self-service terminals available. The hotel has a very modern, quirky design and definitely different to the majority of hotels around. Imaginitive decor and a great buzz add to the experience. The room itself has an unusual layout with the large, comfortable bed completely filling the width of the room - the downside being that if you're sleeping by the window, you have to climb over whoever you're sharing with. That said, the bed is large enough to turn everything 90 degrees so you face out into the room, I'm surprised the bed isn't made up that way. Everything in the room is controlled through the bedside tablet - lighting, blinds, temperature etc and there is almost everything you might need, including a small fridge containing free water, canned lemonade and snacks (although I was surprised that one of the snacks was peanuts which can trigger significant allergic reactions). The shower and toilet are housed in an oval pod - even a choice of showerheads and shower gel. Good wifi, different plug sockets for overseas visitors, a room safe, and very little noise from outside. Food and drink are available 24/7 from the canteen (the name doesn't do it justice - a bar where you can also buy coffee, snacks and get the very good self-service breakfast, surrounded by both casual lounging and cafeteria-style seating). Checkout was also straightforward using the same self-service terminals in the lobby. Luggage can be stored if needed. The staff were friendly and approachable.
For me, just a few small niggles made this a four star, rather than five star rating. The padded surround to our bed wasn't clean, a previous occupant had obviously spilt something and left behind a sticky dribble that hadn't been cleaned. Also, a stain on the mattress cover could clearly be seen through the bottom sheet - if I could see it, why couldn't the housekeeping team? If it hadn't been so late at night when I found it, I would have asked for both sheet and the mattress cover below to be changed, we covered it with a towel and made do. No coffee in the room - ok, they tell you that but I wasn't too happy about having to go down to the bar to pay for one when I just wanted to relax in bed. The last niggle (again, in the small print) is the £2.50 credit card surcharge when you pay your bill through the lobby terminal. When hotels are so credit-card dependent this was unexpected and unwelcome. Just a few tiny things that stopped this from being an outstanding stay.

“Chic & Trendy w/ Great Service”

We stayed at the Citizen M the 2nd half of our trip to London in July 2017. As you walk in the reception 'desk' is a cool set of computers with the friendliest staff!

LOBBY
The lobby is very modern with lots of space to sit and relax/drink/eat.

A good sized bar with friendly bartenders willing to make sure you are satisfied. There is a food area w/ a la carte items that seemed tasty (we didnt try).

THE ROOM
The room is your average London smallness, but it makes up for it in design and modern touches. Everything in the room is controlled by Ipad. The bed was ok. The sink is in the room and a separate area for toilet & shower. Decent mini bar with free (non-alcoholic) food & drink items.

We liked the Citizen M style and 'coolness'. We would stay again.
