This hotel is in a superb location for access to the underground, borough market, the shard etc.
The rooms are snug yet feel roomy with high ceilings and huge beds. The shower could use a little more power but it did what it's supposed to do and given the good value for money, who could really complain?
The whole hotel setup is very aesthetically pleasing, modern and colourful with a nice atmosphere downstairs and they got us checked in within about 10 seconds, no exaggeration.
My only comment is that it was our wedding anniversary which I emailed them about in advance and it would have been nice for them to mention/acknowledge but it really is first world problems.
Overall, we would definitely stay here again.
My partner and I stayed at citizenM London Bankside hotel for 5 nights in July 2019. The whole experience was fantastic from start to finish — so much so, that if I could rate them 6/5 stars I definitely would!
Paula and her team of super “ambassadors” were professional, friendly, helpful, kind, caring and fun.
Such a difference to your typical hotel environment. It makes all the difference when you stay in a place that truly feels like a home away from home.
This hotel is very well located, being a 2 min walk to the Tate Modern, the Thames and the Millennium Bridge. This means you have easy access to St Paul’s and the surrounding London inner city, but are also a stroll from the amazing South Bank which takes you past many pubs, restaurants and bars along the river down to the London Eye. London Bridge underground is within walking distance, as is the Clipped ferry service from Bankside pier.
We loved the giant, double volume living room which contains the canteen, 24 hour bar and plenty of stylish art and furniture. All so comfortable while looking good at the same time.
The room may be compact, but it comes loaded with all the mod cons one needs — giant kingsize bed, rain shower, great Movies ree and fast WiFi.
The hotel also kindly stored our luggage for 2 nights while we were in Alton Towers. Thank you again for an amazing stay!
We stayed there for 4 nights. The original reservation was for 5 nights and we had to leave early. The hotel agreed to cancel the 5th night with no penalties. Clean and techie room, amazing atmosphere, Underground is 8 min walking from the hotel.
The room does not include stuff like- body lotion, conditioner and nail file, but you can ask the staff to provide you with (unlike CitizenM in NY which puts these stuff in the room). No roof top bar but you can visit the one in CitizenM Tower Bridge. It was my 2nd stay at CitizenM and I'm sure there will be a 3rd time!
Great hotel, good location. Friendly staff, a bit difficult to understand their english at times. Rooms great but the iPad to control everything needs working on. A bit slow in reacting. Good with free wifi and in room movies.
Breakfast a bit expensive and rather dissapointing variety of things to buy in the canteen. On the whole I would recommend this hotel.
The hotel is really good! Amazing place! Self check in and check out, room is very modern, everything is controlled by an ipad, bed is really big... it’s a really great experience for a hotel. Definitely one of the nicest I’ve stayed so far
Great place. Luxury room with very nice rain shower. Friendly and helping staff that is always willing to serve you the best. The decoration, arts and interior are amazing.
Location is also good.
You can easily visit all the places you want within walking distance.
My partner and I had a wonderful stay here. It's walking distance to the river, London Bridge, Borough Market, the Tate, and lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. We were given the option of an outward facing room or one facing the courtyard, and picked courtyard as it sounded quieter.
However, the 'courtyard' is small and the rooms surround it from all sides so the view that you end up getting is directly into the window of an opposite bedroom. Not ideal. Apart from that the experience was great. Lovely attentive staff, very clean room, quirky lights in the bathroom and everything including music, lights, temperature and blinds operated on a smart device that you can control.
Everything about the hotel was first class. We had a great stay. Especially noteworthy was the quality of all the staff which added to the enjoyment of the stay.
My only personal drawback was the room layout which only allowed access to the bed from one side requiring one person to climb over the other sometimes.
