Stayed here over the bank holiday weekend, the location is perfect, right next to the Tower Hill tube station! Also in walking distance of attractions and restaurants! The views from the hotel are great, I recommend getting a room on the highest floor facing the Tower of London! Now entering the hotel the lobby is really nice lots of seating if you need to wait.
You can't check in until two o'clock which was abit of a pain but only because of what we had planned for that day, you can leave your bags in s luggage hold. Check in is really easy, you do it yourself at a computer, staff are on hand and really helpful. Rooms are very basic and very "ikeaish" but have everything you need, good bed, abit hard, shortage, good shower, good views, very clean. They room is controlled by an iPad, blinds, lights, cool mood lighting, tv, really great for not having to leave bed. Tv has good selection of films also!!
Overall no complaints and great value for money.
Amazing hotel. Very quirky. Loved all the books everywhere. Great value for money. Tower of London view is worth every penny. Breakfast was amazing and the choice was extensive. Loved the self check in.
Rooms were incredible. Not big but had everything you need. Rainfall shower and mood lighting were brilliant. iPad control was handy and the bed so comfortable. Free movies were a bonus and the toiletries were lovely. Cannot wait to return.
This hotel really is excellent. It's not boring, old fashioned or pretentious like others in London - it's really modern and funky. The location is fantastic, the check in easy with friendly genuine help on hand should you need it.
The atmosphere is really great - comfortable, modern and quirky. The decor makes you smile.
The room had the most incredible view of the Tower of London and the Shard.
As it was a birthday celebration for us, the hotel left balloons, a birthday card and slice of yummy cake in our room which was a very lovely surprise.
The bed was massive and very comfortable, the shower was great, mood lighting was amazing. The roof top bar is fantastic.
There is just one slight issue in that if you need to go to loo in the night, you either have to do so in pitch dark or light up while room. Not a problem for me as used mobile phone light.
My fave hotel London
The view of the Tower was especially good. The pillows weren't great and we had to ask for a couple more. Staff were excellent as was the check in and out process. AV and movies was great. Bathroom was a little naf and needed the iPad for the light but added to the charm.
Excellent, friendly, young, helpful, approachable staff.
Quirky room, comfy large bed.
A bit like staying in an Ikea showroom as modern and funky.
Great central location and amazing view of the Tower of London from our room.
The hotel is very conveniently located right outside the tower Hill tube station. Checkin is easy and fully automated. The rooms are a bit box like. Rather small and very efficiently decorated. Perfect for business travel but it wouldn't be my choice for a holiday.
But then again it's central London so you can't really expect a lot of space.
The bed is really comfy. The bathroom is in my opinion a bit too small. Stepping out of the shower and you're bumping into the toilet bowl. The rain shower is very nice though. The safe is easy to operate and there is some room to store your clothes and stuff.
All in all a lovely hotel which is perfect for business travel. I wouldn't even consider it for a holiday though.
Enjoyed 8 night stay - On arrival room seemed tiny by North American standards - but clean /
Modern / all you need for sleep -spacious common areas - bar/ informal resto / desks / news papers / computers/sitting area / helpful staff/ underground beside hotel / very good value
We loved our stay at Citizen M, the location near the Tower, the rooftop bar at night, great breakfast,
incredible staff, Underground is next to front door, homey atmosphere!! Can't beat it for the price!
