Citizen M, great job. You need more locations.
this is probably the most unusual hotel i have been but certainly one of the best concepts i have seen.
i recomend to anyone that wants to have a pleasunt night near all the monuments in London.the location between near the Tower bridge and with the metro besides the hotel is the top
I booked this based on the fact that I had stayed at a CitizenM in Amsterdam and enjoyed it.
Location: Awesome - Easy walk to Tower Bridge + Underground right beside hotel
View: I booked a Tower Bridge view.
19 quid extra. A little pricey for Dirty Windows. - I did mention it to staff. However the view of the bridge was worth it. They know it!
Breakfast: Didn't do the restaurant. However went to the Café out the front. Good Coffee and a bite to eat.
Room: Bed excellent! Shower Excellent! Smart TV awesome, Free water x 2 each day.
WiFi: Fastest ive had in a long time. No password required. Very happy.
Hotel: Has a good vibe.
Stay Here again: Absolutely.
Me and my partner visited for a weekend break in London for my birthday.
We got to the hotel around 10:30am just to drop our bags off as you can't check in till 2pm which was no problem with us.
However it was a bit of a task to find someone where we can store our bags as there isn't a reception desk, maybe it was because we timed it wrong so everyone was checking out meaning the staff were busy.
When we returned later on in the day to check in it was much quieter and not as chaotic, we were greeted by a member of staff who made sure we were okay checking in. You check yourselves in using their computers which was easy enough. But once we had been given our room number and key we had no idea where we would find our room. We took a lucky guess it was on level 4, but maybe something to consider adding to the system.
Now our room made up for the negatives as said above. Yes the rooms are small, but if you're staying for one night it's not an issue! We paid the extra for the view of Tower of London and it was definitely worth it! I was also surprised with balloons and a bottle of prosecco for my birthday which was lovely.
The beds were very comfy and the iPad system to control the room was awesome. Being able to watch movies on the tv was a bonus, especially as some of them are new movies.
My only downside to the room was that the sink was in the bedroom rather than the bathroom.
Visiting the cloud bar on the 7th floor is definitely worth it, we enjoyed a free drink up there for becoming citizenM members, it does get quite busy there but when the view is as great as it was we weren't surprised.
Overall it was a pleasant stay and we will visit again.
We have stayed at CitizenM locations in Paris and Amsterdam and the CitizenM Tower of London was very similar inside. The rooms had the "second stage" design with the shower and toilet in the same pod and that works well.
There were lots of choices on the TV (although our tablet did not like to charge with their charger, it worked fine with ours) and the room has everything we need. The view of the Tower of London was good, although in retrospect I should not have paid the premium for the view room.
The one drawback was the location. Except for the Tower and Tower Bridge there is really little to do in the area. I would have been much happier with a Soho or even Bankside hotel. Maybe we will do the CitizenM Bankside location next time.
Really impressed by the hotel......the lounge, the room, the services, the iPad.....everything was really great. I 120% recommend this hotel. Will def come back when travelling back to London. I think I felt better than at home!
I loved the 7th floor, it was breathtaking! I loved the decoration of the entire hotel and felt like I'd done it myself the minute I walked in. I loved that the rooms are fully controlled by an iPad and the attention in the rooms and throughout the hotel!
The rooms are designed to be functional as they are cosy, but they were spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Loved the tablet control for the tv, lighting, aircon etc.
The public areas of this hotel were also very clean and they are atmospheric and very comfortable.
The location (above Towerhill tube) is fantastic and a great selling point.
The Wetherspoons across the square was perfect for a cheaper, tasty breakfast.
