Great location. Came for business, but since we are right across the street from the Gershwin theatre, we were able to see a show after work!

Rooms are small, but super efficient and clean.

Full size window with adjustable blinds in every room is a fun touch. Huge drawer under the bed allows for a ton of storage so your luggage isn't in the way. Complimentary water in mini fridge and toiletries. Branding overall is clever, and it's fun to continue to find their fun copywriting in small places.

Even though it's small, there is still adequate space to do work at a desk comfortably. If you have to meet during the day with another coworker for a call as I did, it is very hard to find a quiet place to go, as the entire lobby is an open and bustling place.

I'd love to be able to come back in a warmer time of the year so I could enjoy the rooftop bar and it's views.

“Yes, it really is as good as the reviews say!”

Wasn't too sure about this hotel and was apprehensive about booking it for a full week because of references on previous reviews about the small size of the rooms. Sure, they're not huge but they are very functional and comfortable.

A lot of thought has gone into the design of the rooms. The beds are huge and very very comfortable. Perfect for resting after a long haul flight or a busy day (or night) in Manhattan.

Mood lighting, wide screen HD tv, blackout blinds and an iPad to control all of the room functions add to the ambience and allow you to control things to the way you like them, make this a perfect oasis for your NYC trip. Coupled with this is the rain shower which is really nice first thing in the morning and last thing at night.

But the greatest thing about this hotel isn't the room, it's the whole ambience of the hotel. It's a very relaxing environment and the staff are down to earth and very helpful. For example many hotels I've stayed in there has been a pressure to get up and allow the maid in to clean your room. Not in Citizen M. They understand the international traveller and the need to sleep in late post flight (or whilst you are on holiday). Not that you'll want to stay in bed! The central location makes it very easy to visit uptown and downtown. (Buy the 7 day unlimited metro card when you arrive)

You don't feel like you're in a stuffy hotel. The public areas really are like your living room, where you can chill, watch tv, read a book, catch up on Facebook. The wifi is free and super fast so it's easy to stay in touch with home.

I've never stayed in a hotel which made me feel as at home as the Citizen M has. Will I stay again? Absolutely yes, without hesitation. In fact I want to visit the other Citizen M hotels in London and Amsterdam. Would I recommend it? Yes, it's a home away from home and the reviews do reflect how excellent the hotel is. Proud to call my self a Citizen M.

Well worth a stay. Try it....

(Declaration of interest: absolutely none.)

“Best Place to Stay Near Time Square”

I stay at CitizenM every week. Fair rates, clean rooms, and great staff. The private bar on top is nice for guests only. Breakfast is awesome. Could use a better exercise room with TV's, and a more expanded menu.

“Clean, modern & cool hotel”

Super happy with my stay at CitizenM. Great staff, my daughter got a surprise visit 1st day ever in NYC with a small teddy bear, a personally written card and balloons. She was absolutely thrilled, so sweet (and she has kept the mementos).

Often boutique hotels come across as dark and gloomy (but luxurious), CitizenM managed to give a light and airy feel and still portray boutique style. The rooms are small, but cleverly planned and unlike many hotells it felt very clean. Everything has a cool twist such as the printed comments on pillows, on toilet accessories, quotes on the corridor walls etc. Great hotel!

“Great Communication & Perfect Space for our Wedding Ceremony”

My husband & i chose the CitizenM NYC to be the location for our Wedding ceremony. We were only having a small ceremony of no more than 25 guests & we were looking for somewhere simple with views & the Citizen M was perfect.

While arranging this, the email communication back & forth was great! All questions & queries were answered efficiently. When we arrived we had a lovely little Congratulations card awaiting our arrival in our room. It was lovely.
on our wedding day, the staff were very accomidating & helpful in every possible way. nothing we asked was too much of an issue. We had a great experience with Citizen M & will definitely return in future!

“Peace On Earth Can Be Achieved”

My experience at citizenM in NYC was incredible. The accommodations were clean, fun, peaceful, fare priced and trendy. The staff ALWAYS went beyond and above what was expected. I was especially impressed by the managers, and Ashley and Anthony! I could only dream about staying in each of the properties around the world - even if this retired school teacher could find the means to do so.

“So clever, such a pleasant surprise”

I had my doubts. Tiny room, theater district. And I'm a New Yorker, so there's no magic to me about the location. This place is flat out great. The room is designed so that every space, every item, is useful.

And well-designed. And fun. The bed is incredibly comfortable, and the full wall window makes the whole room feel expansive. The desk/sink unit has everything you need, designed in a super efficient way. Fabulous shower, smart closets. They have an ironing room on the 2nd floor, so that every room doesn't need space for an ironing board. Safe is built into the floor of the closet--so space efficient. Great rooftop bar, really friendly staff. Free coffee in the morning. We are sold on this place. Will recommend to all out-of-town visitors.
