Hotel is very good. Rooms might je a bit top small but quality is very good. Bed is perfect. Perfect rooftop bar on 21st with good service. Breakfast good value for money. Location perfect! Very close to times square and next to Subway.
I took my daughter to NYC for her 19th birthday and we stayed here and LOVED IT! From the moment we walked in the lobby to when we checked out it was an amazing time. First of all, it smells so good as soon as you walk in.
Not sure what they pump into that lobby but goodness it was awesome! The lobby is so hip and funky - every staff member is full of energy and personality. Since it was my daughter's birthday, they gave us the top floor with a view and left her a little note and some cupcakes! How thoughtful! Everything is operated by an iPad which was so cool. Even the alarm wakes you up with the TV screen, then music, then turns on the lights. The roof top bar has some stunning views - absolutely beautiful. And best of all, it's literally steps away from the subway (1 train) and one stop from 42nd Street which takes you anywhere you want to go. My husband and I prefer to stay away from Times Square but would definitely stay here again. So convenient to everything and loved the hotel. Book it!
Just got back from our weekend trip to New York. Stayed at Citizen M with my wife while attending a Hillsong Concert on Sunday at the Beacon Theater. The hotel is one of the most unusually decorated hotels I have ever stayed in.
Quirky art pieces and stuff all over the place. But the thing I will remember most is their signature smell. They pump a fragrance in the vents in the lobby and it pleasantly hits you. The same scent is in their shampoos and lotions in the room. A very pleasant stay as staff are friendly and very helpful. Smack in the middle of everything, right near the subway entry, it was easy to get downtown to Macy's etc. A must do is to go to the bar on the 21 floor, it has a wrap around roof terrace, very pleasant looking out at New York City at nights.
The hotel in really funky, great reception, very easy to check-in and check out, staff are very helpful. There is a great rooftop bar which is highly recommended and there is a small gym.
The room was great, its small but perfect for NY as you don't spend much time in the room anyway.
I was worried about the size of the room when booking but trust me, its perfectly fine unless you are planning on taking a lot of luggage, we took a small and medium size suitcase with hand luggage and it was fine, it you have 2 large suitcases you may struggle a bit. Beds are very large and very comfortable, both me and the wife slept really well. Everything can be controlled by a IPad including, blinds, lights, TV, Air Con/temperature, mood lighting, alarms etc which is very cool. The rooms are very clean with a great shower and is cleaned with fresh towels everyday.
Location couldn't be better, its just off Broadway between 2 different subway lines(red and blue) both within 1-2 mins walk. The Blue(E) line goes all the way to Sutphin Blvd/Archer Ave/JFK in 50 minutes where you can get a 10-15 minute AirTran to JFK and its costs just under $8 each($5 AirTran + $2.## metro).
The hotel is 5 minutes from Time Square and close to all the major Broadway shows and is surrounded by places to eat, including, Appleby's, TGI, Ellen's stardust Dinner etc. Central park is about 15 minute walk and the Rockefeller center is about 5 minutes walk.
Would highly recommend staying in this hotel.
Just returned from a one night stay with my husband. The hotel has a wonderful vibe, staff is friendly and helpful without getting in your way, lobby is well decorated and inviting, and rooms are very cool and functional.
We loved the bed, and the way it was situated right next to the window. The ipad makes adjustments to temp, lights, blinds etc really easy and the free movies were a nice perk. Location is great, right off Times Square. Would definitely recommend and come back for another stay in the future.
stayed here for 4 nights for a friends wedding. Everything was great, staff were super friendly, check in was very easy, the rooftop bar was great. The only slight issue is one that is mentioned several times before, no tea or coffee making facilities and the rooms were a tad too small,
Ps also the breakfast was awesome
We spent (my mom, sister, and I) spent 7 nights here starting on June 5th. It was our first visit to NYC. The hotel is very swanky and within walking distance and/or subway ride of anything you could possibly want to do in NYC.
On our departure one morning Jon was very patient with us and our 100 questions of what to do and see. We wanted to take him with us. :) The entire staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms were a little small but it is probably what you would find in other hotels in NYC. Everyday when we came back to the hotel, our room was cleaned very nicely and smelled especially fresh. I am not sure, but I think we had newly cleaned sheets each day when we returned, or it at least seemed that away. I would recommend this hotel for anyone who is planning a few days in NYC. We did try the $22 breakfast one morning. It was okay, a lot of the items were empty and needed to be refilled. We were able to do better at a local diner without the wait, price, and hassle of a "serve yourself" breakfast. It may of just been the time we got downstairs to eat breakfast, I am not sure. We had about an hour remaining until the breakfast would conclude. Overall, great hotel! Would definitely recommend!
I really liked this hotel. Very central location.
Rooms are extra small, service is not regular: sometimes good to other times poor. But the general impression is really good!
