The event: Do Disturb Festival. The dates: 6 to 8 April. The place: Palais de Tokyo, Paris. The plan: to bring beauty, adventure and great sleep to all who crave it.
If you’ve previously attended the Do Disturb Festival at Palais de Tokyo in Paris, you know what to expect: a delightfully disturbing art experience, at a venue the whole art world loves and respects. If you’ve never been, then you need to know that Palais de Tokyo is no ordinary museum where you’d be advised to keep quiet. Do Disturb Festival really lives up to its name: noise, adventure, performance, stuff that makes you think. If you crave a ‘I can’t believe what I just saw’ experience, then April 6, 7, 8 should be marked in your calendar.
Like many extraordinary romances, ours started over a book. citizenM, in homage to all the unconventional people we welcome through our doors, published a Do Disturb book. Yes, same name as the festival! We got talking, and the rest is history (about to be made). For our first collaboration, we are getting to bed with L’institut d’Esthétique and their beauty-themed installation. L’institut d’Esthétique explores the edge of beauty and body aesthetics, playing with the meaning of self-image in today’s world so focused on perfection. Like any lover setting up a romantic mood, we’ll be there with bathrobes, free refreshments, and a camera to capture that special glow. Visitors to our area are welcome to participate by taking pictures and becoming part of the artistic experience.
How about getting you in there? All guests staying at our Paris hotels during the festival dates (between April 6 and 8) will be granted free single-day admission to the festival. Just ask an ambassador at the check-in kiosk for your special-edition key card, which doubles as a festival ticket. Once you arrive at the festival, remember to visit citizenM area at L’institut d’Esthétique to get into the beauty frame of mind and document it with a (possibly saucy) snap. We’ll also be showing off our Do Disturb book - the one that started it all.
There are three citizenM hotels in Paris: Gare de Lyon, Charles de Gaulle, and La Défense. Spend your days at Palais de Tokyo, and your nights at citizenM. Now that’s a weekend worth living for.
If you can’t make it, we’ll make sure our Instagram feed is full of live updates of all the exciting happenings. If you don’t follow us yet, we’re at www.instagram.com/citizenM
