Our parking partner, Premium Parking, has 15 spaces at a secure parking lot on John Street (entrance via the alleyway behind the hotel off John Street) on a first-come-first-served basis. Access is by key fob only – please stop at the hotel to ask if a space is available, pay and pick up your parking access key fob (there is a charge of 75 USD for any unreturned or lost fob).
Street parking is available around the hotel, payable at nearby kiosks or via a Pay By Phone app. Street parking in Seattle is free from 6.00 PM to 8.00 AM daily, and all day on Sundays.

Your smart TV is pre-loaded with all kinds of great local and international channels. Open the 'media' section on the bedside iPad or the citizenM app to browse them all, and use the device like a remote control. If you prefer a traditional remote control, you'll find it in the drawer under your bed.
Dreaming of streaming? The TV in your room is Chromecast-enabled! Cast from your iOS or Android device to watch Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+ and many more. We do not offer family rooms, or rooms with connecting doors, but we will be happy to assign you rooms next to each other if you let us know in advance. Leave a note when booking.
housekeeping
During your stay (hello, fluffy pillows!), you tell us when to clean your room. It's easy! If you are staying 2 or more nights, look for the cleaning schedule in your citizenM app or the room iPad right after check-in. If you do nothing, we promise to clean your room every 4th morning of your stay.
You can adjust your schedule for tomorrow or later. If you need to change your housekeeping preference on the same day, please ask at the front desk in the morning.

Each citizenM room has one XL king-size bed, perfect for up to two adults to share, plus a child 10 years old or less. There are no other room types available.
There is no space in the room for twin beds or extra beds.
When sharing the bed, put the pillows by the window to avoid climbing over your bed buddy at night. Feel free to ask for extra pillows or blankets if needed.
There are four firm pillows on the bed. If you'd like a medium or soft pillow, please ask at the front desk, or dial 0 from your room phone.

At the top of the iPad screen, slide the alarm toggle to switch on/off. Just in case of a catastrophic event (Godzilla comes to town!) set an alarm on your own device or watch. Each citizenM room has a private shower and toilet behind a frosted glass enclosure. There is also a curtain for extra privacy.
The luxury shower has two spray options – wall or overhead (rain). Choose your preferred option by turning the knob on the left side of the shower shelf. The temperature knob is on the right side of the shower shelf. Press the button under the knob to turn it and adjust the temperature.
The vanity has a push plug – push it down to fill the sink with water, and push again to raise the plug and drain the water.
There are no bathtubs in any citizenM rooms.
windows and temperature adjustments
For security and soundproofing reasons, the windows in our rooms do not open. Instead, you have full control over the room ventilation system via the bedside iPad or the citizenM app - just look for the thermometer icon.
Our ventilation system is super quiet – good news for all you light sleepers! When you change a climate setting, you will not hear it, and it may take up to 20 minutes to feel the difference. Tip: set the fan on 'high' to speed up the temperature change.
'do not disturb' sign
Hang the 'do not disturb' sign on your room door if you don't want anyone to interrupt your napping, working, singing or naked yoga.
When the 'do not disturb' sign is on the door, housekeeping staff will not enter your room to clean it.

Large lithium-ion batteries are a fire risk, even when they’re unplugged. This means that guests can’t bring items like e-bikes, scooters, hoverboards, drones or other devices that use this kind of battery to the hotel. Heat islands in urban settings have a negative effect on humans, wildlife habitats and microclimates. To avoid contributing to this problem, we used paving materials with a three-year aged solar reflectance (SR) value of at least 0.28, and planted greenery to create shade over paved areas. Cool!

Landscaping is usually responsible for huge water consumption. Not here! We switched to low-water-use landscape design – resulting in 79% lower water use in comparison to a typical building. Instead of landscaping on the outside, we put a lot of cool art on the inside (way more photogenic and doesn’t need any water)!

With a combination of great building-envelope design, plus efficient mechanical and electrical systems, we achieved a 24% energy reduction. This is measured against the ASHRAE 2007 baseline, if you like learning more about this sort of thing.
