Is your hotel open ?

Can I book a room?

Yes, you can book a room, our hotels are open. Click here to make a reservation. Please note, the cloudM rooftop bar is still closed until further notice.

Is canteenM open?

We follow the official DC guidelines at canteenM – 25% occupancy limit, no sitting at the bar, one food item must be purchased with alcohol per table. There is no alcohol service between 10.00 PM and 6.00 AM. Between midnight and 6.00 AM, please take all food and drinks to your room. All alcohol purchases must be accompanied by a substantial food item, including to-go purchases. All visitors purchasing food and drinks to go must agree to contact tracing, and must purchase a substantial food item with every alcohol purchase.

How can I access the hotel?

Our hotels are open, but the doors may be locked at night (or in exceptional circumstances). In that case, hotel guests enter by scanning their room key card. New arrivals use the intercom to reach the hotel team.

Can I come to the hotel if I do not have a reservation ?

Yes, visitors are welcome at citizenM Washington DC Capitol, but will be asked to register with their full name, phone number and
email, and confirm they are free of Covid-19 symptoms when they enter the hotel. Please observe the local social distancing rules while they are still in place. Visitors cannot go up to guest rooms. Please ask an ambassador at the hotel for the latest rules regarding the use of our living room.

citizenM Washington DC Capitol does not offer parking. However, there is an independent parking garage nearby at:

Do you have a shuttle?

at citizenM we do not provide shuttles. But feel free to arrange your own. Most airports provide these services.

Our front desk is always open (yes, 24/7!) and an ambassador is always available to help you with anything you need.

Do I need an ID when checking in?

All staying guests must present a valid ID upon check in - this includes the second guest in the room (we allow a maximum of 2 people per room).

International travellers must present a valid passport. Domestic travellers must present a Driver's License, or Non-Driver ID card, or DoD card. Sorry, we cannot accept photos of documents.

The name on the credit card used to check-in must match the photo ID shown.

What is the check out time?

Check-out is at 11.00 AM. Do you want to stay in your ultra-comfy bed longer? No problem, you can add a late check-out until 6.00 PM for an extra 39 USD during booking, at online check-in, or in person at the hotel.

There are no laundry or dry-cleaning facilities at citizenM hotels, but our ambassadors are happy to recommend local cleaners and laundromats if you need one.

Can I rent a bike ?

We do not have bikes at the hotel, but please ask our ambassadors to recomment a great local bike rental place.

Do you have a gym ?

There are no gym facilities at this hotel, but you don't have to give up on fitness (unless you prefer to run a movie marathon in bed, of course). In our movie library, you'll find workout videos made especially for your room. You can also use the free Wi-Fi to stream your favourite workout video. Our city guides have running maps too.

Can I add breakfast to the booking?

Yes, you can add breakfast with one click while you're making your reservation. If you aren't sure yet, simply buy it on the day of arrival or in the morning. The price is the same.

Do you provide breakfast for people with dietary requirements?

Yes, our breakfast buffet has something for everyone! You'll find options for vegan, lactose-free and gluten-free diets. If you have other special requirements, let us know in the comments during the booking, and we will do our best to accommodate you.

What are the breakfast times and price?

Breakfast is served from 6.00 AM until 11.00 AM. It is possible to have breakfast earlier than 6.00 AM, just let us know in advance to arrange this. The price of the breakfast is 13.95 USD+taxes per person.

Do you provide lunch and dinner?

Yes, we serve delicious hot meals 24/7 at canteenM. Cold food, snacks, drinks and coffee are available 24/7.
